Our History

 

LATINA FOOD SERVICE

Latina Foods, Inc. was founded in 1954 when Anthony Sciolino opened an Italian import store on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY.  At the age of 17, Charles Marazzo, Sr. joined Mr. Sciolino to grow the business, expanding it to include wholesale food distribution.

 

Today, Latina Food Service is the largest locally owned broadline food distributor in WNY under the direction of Charles Marazzo Jr. and his sister Ann.  Our food service division houses a USDA inspected meat-processing facility, allowing us to offer “Center of the Plate” meat and poultry items which are cut fresh daily and are the Exclusive Supplier of

JBS Swift - 1855 Premium Black Angus Beef Products!

 

BOULEVARD PRODUCE

In 1980 Rick, Paul and Glenn Dombrowski started the business as a retail stand on Niagara Falls Boulevard.  When the wholesale business started to expand the trio moved Boulevard Produce to its present Tonawanda location in 1986. Today Boulevard sources fresh produce from all over the world and services more than 1000 WNY accounts, with deliveries made 7 days a week.

 

ROCHESTER MEATS

Rochester Meat Company was started in 1975, when Steve Tasikas and John Antonakakis
purchased a building at the corner of South Clinton Avenue and Meigs Street in Rochester, New York. They became heirs to a long standing tradition, as the facility had been a butcher shop, smoke house and a grocery store since the 19th century and became the largest distributor of Grecian Delight Foods and other Mediterranean products in upstate New York.

The current facility is now located in Henrietta, NY which houses state of the art processing, grinding & packaging equipment allowing us to produce the finest all natural ground chuck & burgers of all sizes.
